Back in West Sussex, when Medlicott himself is found dead at the bottom of the stairs, Henry Hall is also drawn into the investigation. But the with entire mans family in the morgue, his suspect list is non-existent. Then Maxwell stumbles, by accident, on the linchpin to the whole case.

this is what henry hall tells Jackie which Jackie promises but finds it very hard to do but max has his own way of finding out.
as well as max and Jackie, henry hall is becoming a favourite character as he lets his guard slip a bit.
enjoying the series very much.
Another delight
A further jolly tale by M J Trow superbly narrated once again by Peter Wickham. Although the plot is far from strong, this book like the earlier novels in the series, entertains through its sheer humour and the delightful way the characters are drawn. These are feel good books and I hope Maxwell has many more adventures to come. As for Peter Wickham, I could listen to him read the back of a cereal packet and enjoy it! Pity he isn't let loose with Inspecter Lestrade.
