We open Numbers 1 with a census that shows God forming Israel with purpose and order, then we turn to Psalm 107, where rescued people learn to pay attention to the Lord’s steadfast love. We connect God’s faithfulness in deliverance with a personal challenge to examine our own hearts as we begin new books in both Numbers and the Psalms.
