In light of the CPAP settlement offer and order last week, John Albanese joined us to discuss and summarize what to expect moving forward in the next few weeks.
John provides the following actionable insights:
1. Obtain Medical Records: Firms should obtain and review medical records quickly to ensure clients have qualifying injuries.
2. Submit Identification Form: The settlement administrator will provide a template spreadsheet to be filled out and submitted through MDL Centrality by June 10.
3. Participation Rate: The settlement requires a 95% participation rate from eligible claimants to participate in the settlement. Elapsed claimants can be removed from the participation rate calculation.
