Queer All Year

May 25th in Queer History, "In memory of.."

Listen Later

Hey everybody, we hope you're enjoying Memorial Day on Queer All Year!
Today, Cat and McG start out talking about radishes for some reason, but also a shoutout to our expanding audience! We also take time to thank our fallen heroes, including our Great-Uncle Leslie Hobson who gave his life in The Battle of the Bulge, an infamous and deadly last-ditch offensive by Nazi Germany. In a different light, we would like this day to also be known for The Memorial Day Homophobe Homicides. One year ago this day, a masked assailant opened fire within a house party that included several homosexual and transgender people. This should be shocking to all, yet a changing atmosphere makes this seem almost normal. Have a happy memorial day, though.
Thanks so much and remember: We Love You!
