Just as a young child often fails to listen to mom and dad, so the human dilemma called sin came from one basic failure. Adam and Eve didn’t take God’s Word to them seriously. “Don’t eat from this tree.” They did anyway, and ever since then, man’s fundamental problem has been one of doubting God’s word and then experiencing the consequences.
