The Union School Corporation filed a lawsuit Thursday against the State of Indiana and Governor Mike Braun. The lawsuit seeks to reverse a decision signed into law by Braun that would dissolve the Randolph County district in 2027.

Indiana schools will not be allowed to expel students for chronic absences — at least for the next school year. Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Kirsten Adair reports state lawmakers adopted legislation that aims to tackle the state’s chronic absenteeism problem.
