Underlying all Maya's work is her dedication to use entrepreneurship as a tool to serve marginalized communities/individuals at scale.
She believes that some of the most beautiful innovations arise at the intersection of disciplines.
👉🏽Currently, for me that means merging design, culture, and social impact through my ethical fashion brand, Hope Sews.
She also believes that business is a powerful vehicle for creating large-scale social change and should be recognized as an effective avenue for changemakers.
👉🏽Her focus over the past few years has been on poverty alleviation for women and girls in low-income communities, as ample data shows that when women have the ability and freedom to identify and choose their actions and life courses – they will act in ways that lift themselves, their families, and their communities out of poverty.
Finally, she believes in the power of strong communities and collaboration to foster innovation and positively impact societies.
👉🏽 I'm currently building Project W to kick-start high-impact projects/ventures from diverse college-age women.
