In this episode of Can’t Find My Way Home, I was joined by Nick Sanders.

Nick is now based in Birmingham, England, but has previously spent several years studying, living, and working in South Korea and Japan.

We also take a look at his Youtube channel - Yeongki Nick - and of course, The Top 5.

Nick takes us through his experience of living in South Korea, both as a student, and then his time working in the countryside and then moving to the capital to teach adults.

We also share some of our own initial thoughts and impressions of the South Korea and wonder - what is that smell?

The two of us try hard not to compare South Korea and Japan, and instead, Nick lifts the lid on some of the cultural differences in the workplace, as well as giving us quite a few travel tips.

Nick’s new project, the Youtube channel - Yeongki Nick - is where you can find his informative, educational, insightful and of course, entertaining take on learning the Korean language. There’s talk of bringing your own personality to this type of project, how he comes up with ideas for new episodes, and of course what kind of things we can expect to see when all this Covid stuff’s behind us.

We talk social media, getting drunk with Australians in the most unlikely of places, confucian football fans, not choosing to study physics...and going... full cheese!
