The increasing number of people moving away from downtown Vancouver (to be able to afford to live in this province!) means even more motorists on Highway One. Congestion and bottlenecks are daily struggles for drivers in the Fraser Valley. Statistics from the transportation ministry show the number of cars travelling from Abbotsford and Chilliwack daily numbered 45,500. In 2017, that figure reached 53,000.
