1. The certainty of God’s plan for the cross

* Judas’ betrayal

* The court system in those days

* Many violations of the law

2. The plan God has for the world

* The resurrection, ascension, and reappearance of Jesus as shown in the court trial scene

* (1) No sin could be found in Jesus (Mark 14:55) An innocent person could bear a crime

(2) Resurrection after the cross (Mark 14:58)

(3) Ascension to Heaven (Mark 14:62)

3. Beyond the hardship

* Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (NIV)
