“In Order to Be Happy”
Pastor Kenichi Osumi
1. In order to be “happy”
* Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (NIV)
2. What is “happiness”?
* Psalm 73:28 “But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.” (NIV)
* Dr. Yasuyuki Shimoinaba (Kameyama Eikoh Hospital)
“I think life is not only about its length, but its quality.” (Words of a 26-year-old terminally ill cancer patient)
3. In order to have a “happy death”
* Tetsuo Kashiwagi “People die in the same manner they lived.”
