3. The permanence of our salvation
* Mephibosheth continued to live in the grace of the covenant with David
* Romans 8:1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (NIV)
* Two questions about the permanence of salvation:
* (1) Wouldn’t there be people likely to sin because they know they are forgiven?
* (2) Doesn’t the Bible recommend people to repent of their daily sins?

1. What change occurred in your identity and self-image when you accepted the salvation of the cross?
2. Is the salvation of the cross necessary for all people?
3. Can one’s salvation ever be taken away?
