The McGrail Inquiry has been delayed, and will not take place in September as planned.
Chairman, retired judge Sir Peter Openshaw, says it is “unsafe to proceed” in September/October given the risk of jeopardising an ongoing criminal investigation concerning allegations that witnesses may have received incentives for providing evidence to the inquiry.
