McNair’s WWI Song Cycle, Based on War Poems, Premieres at UTC 11/1
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s Dr. Jonathan McNair has created a new song cycle: Returning, We Hear the Larks. The campus is observing the centennial of World War I, and these songs put melody to the verses of six poets who wrote about the war. Dr. McNair and baritone vocalist Dr. Andrew White preview the concert, which is free and open to the public on 11/1 at 7:30 p.m. on campus. More information is here.
