In this episode we discuss the differences in discrimination against Asian and Black subgroups, the tensions between them, and whether the term BAME is boxing us all together, or whether it can be useful. Drawing from our experiences, we discuss the difference in treatment in western society and also touch on the complex identity of being mixed race. Moreover, we discuss appropriation across the communities and what we can learn from all this. Big thank you to Nush for joining us in this episode!

The name Moden Day Mullatos is a modern twist on the offensive noun 'mulatto' meaning a person of mixed white and black ancestry, especially a person with one white and one black parent.We changed the spelling to reclaim and redefine the word for our own.
