The cast introduces their health-profession characters as the party continues exploring a hidden data well in the Echo Veil, where robots roam and cities survive in isolation. Inside a ruined research chamber, they encounter a small robot, Cleo, who leads them to Enoki, a deranged scientist linked to a family photo and obsessed with merging man and machine to prevent another Remnants Fury.

The group discovers Enoki's schematics for an exoskeleton "frame" and then fights the activated prototype, defeating it and salvaging scrap. After Enoki smashes their data slate, Cleo begins repairing it, and Enoki reveals three "keys" the Fatherboard cult seeks at the Northern Oracle, Calcarus, and the Neriedus, warning about the First Nail.
