Romans 7:18-23 NLT

“And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. But if I do what I don’t want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it. I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.”

Self-actualization is about becoming the best version of yourself based on

embracing God’s will for your life, directed from the Word of God.

Self-esteem is how an individual views, values, and validates him or herself in the arenas of life, which affects the behavior factors, the belief factors, and the bonding factors.

Conditioned to measure self-worth based on possessions.

Luke 12:15 ASV

“And he said unto them, Take heed, and keep yourselves from all covetousness: for a man’s life

consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”

Conditioned to measure self-worth based on positions.

1 Corinthians 12:14-20 TPT

“In fact, the human body is not one single part but rather many parts mingled into one. So if the foot were to say, “Since I’m not a hand, I’m not a part of the body,” it’s forgetting that it is still a vital part of the body. And if the ear were to say, “Since I’m not an eye, I’m not really a part of the body,” it’s forgetting that it is still an important part of the body. Think of it this way. If the whole body were just an eyeball, how could it hear sounds? And if the whole body were just an ear, how could it smell different fragrances? But God has carefully designed each member and placed it in the body to function as he desires. A diversity is required, for if the body consisted of one single part, there wouldn’t be a body at all! So now we see that there are many differing parts and functions, but one body.”

Conditioned to measure self-worth based on proficiency.

Conditioned to measure self-worth based on presentation.

Conditioned to measure self-worth based on the price paid for things.

Conditioned to measure self-worth based on partnerships.

Your Self-Esteem has to be measured by Scripture.

1 Corinthians 15:10 KJV

“But by the grace of God, I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain;

but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
