Nursing Considerations

may cause neuroliptic malignant syndrome, sedation, tardive dyskineisa, hypotenstion, agranulocytosis

assess mental status prior to and during treatment

monitor blood pressure

ensure patient is taking medication

monitor CBC and liver function tests

instruct patient not to skip doses or double dose.
