The Medicare Supplement Plan N is a true Medicare Supplement, which means that Medicare is your primary insurer. So as long as the doctor or hospital accepts Original Medicare, they will accept the Medicare Supplement Plan N and you can keep your doctor.
The Medicare Supplement Plan N does come with a few co-pays. The co-pay for doctor’s visits is UP TO but NO MORE than $20.00 per visit and a $50.00 co-pay for the ER (emergency room). These co-pays are not paid in the traditional sense, where you would pay your doctor or the ER at the time of the service. These co-pays will be mailed to your home and you will pay them that way instead of in office.
Medicare Supplement Plan N is also called Medigap Plan N. Medicare Supplement Plan N is a great option for people that want the benefits of having a Medicare Supplement Plan, however want to keep a lower monthly premium.
Since the Medicare Supplement Plan N has a lower premium than the Plan F and G, it does cover less. There are only 4 out of pocket costs that the Plan N requires you to pay compared to the Plan F or Plan G.
