As a Christian I have been told that we don’t need to use medicine for healing. This left me a bit conflicted as a doctor who prescribed medicines.  When I was in my Psychiatry residency, one of my mentors Dr. Rumans gave me some valuable insight on medicines.  

She led me to John 9:6.  The story of Blind Bartemeus.   What I found right there in the word of God changed my perspective and I hope it changes yours as well.
