As much as anyone who is on the self love/healing journey wants to believe a positive mindset helps us get through hard times, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed by life's responsibilities and unfortunate events. Although we can not control negative outside forces that arise from time to time, we can control how we regulate our thoughts, feelings and reactions to these circumstances.

The past few weeks I've been using the "Soothing Pod" app religiously. (Please note this is not a sponsored advertisement and I'm not being funded or compensated in anyway) 
This app is such a helpful tool when you need reminders to center yourself while not letting difficult burdens ruin your state of mind and wellbeing. When I notice myself overthinking or having any consuming thoughts outside of grace and acceptance, I listen to a guided meditation theme.
