God said to Joshua in the book of Joshua chapter 1 verse 8 to meditate on the law day and night in order to make His way prosperous and have good success. Apostle Paul said something similar to Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:15 "Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all."
