This breathing meditation goes back to Yogi Bhajan from Kundalini Yoga and is quite excellent (also) in its effect when we have been frightened or have experienced a shock situation.
It helps us to regain inner balance, calm our nerves and thus also reduces post-traumatic stress.
A special breathing rhythm results from the repetition of a mantra, and a special hand posture, also called mudra, further supports the deepening of the meditation here.
The mantra:
6x SAT NAM, then 1x WAHE GURU = 1 complete cycle.
