Our world is undergoing some big ass changes, and all of us are being called to participate. We are being asked to not only hear, but also engage in the difficult conversations, about race, about privilege, about justice, about the world as we know it, and the world as we want it to be.
These conversations will inevitably trigger shame. As our shadow is brought into the light, we are invited to unravel the axioms we have been living by, to unlearn the beliefs we held as our pillars and to admit that we have no shit clue.
While it is absolutely natural to feel shame in this process, it’s crucial we don’t let shame be the end of the journey.
Today’s guided meditation (link in bio) is aimed at helping you meet shame, journey through it, and come out the other side. It invites you to recall a time where you felt shame and provides you with a tool to understand it better.
Learning to recognise and work with shame gives us a choice: to stay stuck or to dive deeper. I truly believe that if we do this work, the elephant of shame may transform into a doorway, to deeper and lasting transformation. Hopefully this meditation can support you in the process.
