What happens when more than one spirit shows up to the same reading?

In this episode of Medium Moms, Anna, Genevieve, and Whitney sit down with Samantha for a live mediumship reading that quickly becomes a lesson in just how messy spirit communication can be. A grandmother, a young boy, masculine energy, family patterns, and messages about keeping everything inside begin overlapping—and suddenly we’re talking about one of the trickier parts of mediumship: blended spirits.

We unpack what it feels like when multiple communicators come through at once, why a “no” from a sitter can actually be useful evidence, and the importance of slowing down and establishing validation before chasing the message.

The conversation also wanders—in true Medium Moms fashion—into ancestral healing, developing psychic abilities, Lily Dale, protective spirit guides, ghosts who have absolutely no respect for office hours, and why sometimes the message isn’t about proving who’s there. Sometimes it’s about figuring out what your family has been carrying—and what you don’t have to carry anymore.

Coffee, crystals, confused ghosts, and three moms trying to figure out who exactly is talking. Just another day at Medium Moms.

What happens when healing with someone continues after they die?

In Episode 4, the Medium Moms welcome a guest sitter hoping to connect with her late mother—and what comes through leads to a much bigger conversation about the things our families leave behind.

Then, after the reading, we get into one of the trickiest parts of mediumship: evidence. What happens when someone desperately wants to believe but needs proof first? Does skepticism interfere with connection? And is a medium's job to prove that Spirit exists or simply meet people wherever they are in their journey?

It's an intimate, funny, vulnerable conversation about mothers, mediums, skepticism, healing, and the strange ways love keeps showing up.

Because maybe death doesn't end a relationship. Sometimes, it gives us another way to understand it.

That question becomes the heart of the episode when your guest reveals the person she hoped to hear from died within the last three months, prompting the conversation about acute grief and whether it's simply too soon for a mediumship reading.

For our first live reading on Medium Moms, we invited Alexis to sit with us as Whitney and Anna attempted to connect with her grandmother—a woman neither of them had ever met.

The reading begins with seemingly disconnected impressions: laughter, clothing, hair, chairs, widowhood and a grandmother presenting herself in very different ways to each medium. Slowly, pieces begin to find their place.

Later, Alexis pulls out old photographs of her grandmother.

And there it is.

However, Alexis openly admits that part of her is still “longing for more proof,” leading us into an honest conversation about evidence, uncertainty, spiritual inheritance, family estrangement, grief, and what it means to continue a relationship with someone after death.

This is mediumship as we experience it: unexpected, imperfect, emotional—and occasionally capable of stopping all three of us in our tracks.

Welcome to the very first episode of Medium Moms.

We’re three moms, three mediums, and three people who found our way to Spirit through very different paths. In our first episode, we’re introducing ourselves, sharing how mediumship showed up in our lives, and talking about what it actually looks like to balance motherhood and everyday life.

And because this is Medium Moms, we don't just talk about mediumship—we practice it. Spirit joins the conversation as we move into readings and see what comes through in real time.

This episode is your introduction to who we are, how we work, and what you can expect from Medium Moms: honest conversations, different perspectives, plenty of laughter, and evidence that reminds us why we continue to do this work.

Whether you're a practicing medium, developing your own abilities, curious about the spirit world, or simply wondering what happens when three medium moms get together and turn on the microphones—welcome. We're glad you're here.
