On this episode, we talk to guest speaker Jennifer Wiliams who is a PhD candidate in the Department of Kinesiology at McMaster University, with a prior MSc degree from Queen’s University. Under the supervision of Dr. Maureen MacDonald, her present PhD research focuses on the short- and long-term impact of hormonal contraceptives, and the acute effects of emergency contraception, on cardiovascular health in females. She is passionate about women's health, and integration of sex and gender into health research. She teaches undergraduate students about sex/gender as the Winter 2022 instructor for HLTHSCI 2T03: Sex, Gender & Health, and is the McMaster trainee representative to CIHR's Institute of Gender and Health.
