This episode was produced to commence the celebration of Catholic sisters during the National Catholic Sisters Week by Curve Riders. Maakwe and Pa Ying discuss what they learned from the sisters they were paired with as oral historians during the Fall of 2015. Curve Riders is a short narrative podcast of women who didn't make the history books. Produced by Pa Ying Vang and Maakwe Cumanzala, students at St. Catherine University, and the oral history project SisterStory; the series presents achievements and cultural impacts of women religious. Inspired by SisterStory's coverage "Sisters of Influence" on pinterest the podcast aims to present these stories anew with an emphasis on storytelling through writing, sound design, and music.
