Meet Chuck Watterson- Candidate for LaPorte County Prosecutor - Candidate Conversations
It's Primary Season! Since we at #DDD believe an educated voter is an empowered voter, we try to introduce as much information as we can. One of the ways we do this is by sitting down with potential candidates for office and getting to know them. We ask all of our guests to provide us with a bio and here's what we were sent: "Chuck Watterson is a trial attorney and candidate for LaPorte County Prosecutor, running to bring real courtroom experience back to the prosecutor’s office. Chuck's family is from LaPorte and Chuck is LaPorte through and through. He has a 5 year old daughter, so he has a vested interest in keeping his community safe. Watterson has built his career where it matters most—inside the courtroom—trying cases, standing up for victims, and holding criminals accountable. He believes the job of prosecutor isn’t about politics or talking points—it’s about results, and results come from experience. At a time when public safety is critical, Watterson is making a clear case: the prosecutor should be someone who has actually done the job. He’s focused on protecting families, enforcing the law, and ensuring justice is delivered fairly and effectively. His campaign is centered on a simple idea—this is not a position for on-the-job training. It requires proven trial experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to putting the community first."
