Cherrelle e'Lan is an actress, advocate, and director who happens to be the shows first guest - Cherrelle started her career behind the camera, in production at 20/20 and PrimeTime, as well as cutting-edge investigative journalism.
Cherrelle received a Peabody Award while working with ABC's news team during the 9/11 Tragedy for her work in interviewing victims and heroes.
Empowering a new generation, Cherrelle initiated the first High School Media Day, Hosted by The National Association of Multi-Ethnicity In Communications (NAMIC), and her Alma Mater The Duke Ellington School of the Arts in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, connecting students with broadcast professionals and media programs at top universities.
Cherrelle is a Magna Cum Laude Graduate of Howard University, B.A. Radio/TV/Film and earned her Masters Degree from Syracuse University, Newhouse School of Communications.
Fun fact: Cherrelle is a member of the first African American Sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, and assisted fellow sorority sister, and now Vice President, Kamala Harris during her participation at the 7th Annual Asomugha Foundation Gala.
