Mark Silverthorn worked as a lawyer for four of the largest collection agencies operating in Canada for 12 years between 1994 and 2006. Mark had an epiphany after which he decided not to represent creditors, debt buyers, or collection agency Subsequently, Mark began representing consumers struggling with consumer debt. Between 2007 and 2009 Mark spent hundreds of hours interviewing bankruptcy trustees, representatives from the credit counselling industry as well as executives at debt settlement firms.
