Monica was born and raised in Zimbabwe, but today she has German citizenship and lives in Slovenia. Coming from a country of mighty rivers like the Zambezi, today she lives in a house right next to the tranquil Dravinja river. Monica first came to Europe in 1982 to study in Germany. Today she and her husband own a house near Ptuj and have their own institute, helping Slovenia's youth with language education and training in journalism.
