On this episode of Authors Corner, Kate Delaney talks with Dr. John Ayoola Akinyemi about his deeply personal book Meet My Mother. Dedicated to the memory of his late mother, the book is a moving tribute to the timeless lessons she shared — the power of words, the strength of prayer, and the healing nature of forgiveness. Dr. Akinyemi reflects on growing up in Nigeria, the love and calm his mother showed through life’s storms, and what it truly means to be a “quintessential mother.” Through heartfelt stories and a deep sense of gratitude, he reminds us just how powerful a mother’s influence can be — and why that love deserves to be honored across all cultures and generations.
