Margie Peterson and Rose share stories about dealing with learning disabilities and growing up in a large family. Spanish was Rose's first language. Her difficulties in class led her to art and to pursue a degree in speech pathology. Gonzales is a writer, poet, artist, and former teacher. Her life's journey has taken her from working in the grape fields of California to becoming the first in her family to receive a college education. She has a B.A. in Speech Pathology and an M. A. in Special Education.
