Meet the Bullmastiff Dog! This large breed dog was developed in Britain by crossing the English Mastiff and the Olde English Bulldog. Its purpose was to assist gamekeepers by guarding estates keeping the game safe from poachers. Apparently, the Mastiff wasn't fast enough so it was bred with the now-extinct Olde English Bulldog which was known to be very fierce. The Mastiff would chase down intruders and pin them to the ground.
