Meet the Masters with John Goolsby of Godfather Films

John Goolsby, “The Godfather of Video”, has been recognized as one of the top 25 videographers in the world and has been inducted into WEVA’s Hall of Fame.  He has received multiple creative excellence and artistic achievement awards for his innovative service to the event industry.  He is the author of The Business of Wedding & Special Event Videography and has appeared in articles in Brides magazine, Southern California Brides and the LA Times.

Robert Allen chats with John, colleague and friend, about the importance of documenting a special event with video.  He talks about his experience as a storyteller and his unobtrusive movie making style.  John tells us that the elements of a good story are at every wedding - romance, comedy, drama and suspense.  He wants your wedding video to be your favorite movie of all time.  You will learn how weddings and clients have evolved, the latest trends and technological advances of videography, and John’s best advice when choosing a professional videographer that will capture the essence of the day.  After 2,000 weddings and 25 years in business, John still believes that preserving the memories of a wedding celebration is the best job in the world.
