Listen Later

Agenda

Data: This episode we will be talking about an article from the Telegraph that's titled 'GCSEs Belong in the Victorian Era'. Kath and Hannah talk about their experiences of supporting students through their GCSEs and the ever increasing reliance on a knowledge rich curriculum and how this can exclude important aspects of teaching and learning.

Teaching and Learning: Kelly, a teacher from Greater Manchester, talks to us about Dual Coding. Kath and Hannah find out how to use dual coding in the classroom and how this technique improves memory retention to support the learning of large amounts of information in a more creative way.

Pupils Causing Concern: As usual we will be sharing funny anecdotes from the classroom. This week Kelly has one to share.

AOB: During this section you will hear from our upcoming guest Michael who is a coach and a maths teacher from the USA. We will also shoutout other amazing teachers!
