The metaphor of the Inner Child is a tool through which we can identify and heal those wounded places within ourselves where early needs were unmet and feelings denied. Connecting to this Inner Child provides us with the opportunity to re-live our childhood in a new way and re-parent ourselves in a way that brings us a sense of wholeness.
