Better than I thought it would be

I bought this, unsure what I was going to be getting. I was pleasantly surprised. The story is actually very good and quite gripping. I do have a couple of observations. First, many of the characters are flat and stereotyped, with some racial comments that were unnecessary. Toby and Susie were fully fleshed out, but the other characters are two-dimensional. Second, there are some errors that editing would have taken care of. That being said, the book is an enjoyable read and worth the money I spent on it.

Highly recommended by this very demanding reader

Clear your calendar before you start this book, because you won't want to put it down until the end. This is part love story, part science fiction adventure, part mystery, and if youâre the kind of reader who's easily bored with what passes for creative fiction these days, this will be a discovery for you.

Everyone and their uncle writes about love, always with stereotypical lovers and stale plots. Now think about loving an âother,â not just outside your race religion or age group, but REALLY âother.â Reading this book and going down that road in my mind was an incredibly valuable experience.

At the same time I also got a lot out of the âordinaryâ human love stories that circle around the science fiction version. Itâs all difficult and messy and genuine â no fairy tales here. Neither love story is smoothly blissful, but each is rewarding in its own way. I appreciated the writer's realistic scenes and dialogue, as well as his dry wit. And if you arenât a sci fi fan already, you probably will be after you read this one.

a science fiction master piece

i totally enjoyed this read as a lover of sci-fi reading this book had it all I could even see a movie made of this in the past I have enjoyed other great works by this author .and this by far is just wonderful and will not let the reader down . a great gift Idea I highly recommend
