Seven Sport presenter Mel McLaughlin has been diagnosed with stage two lung cancer despite being a lifetime non-smoker. Her sister Tara died from lung cancer a decade ago at age 39. Doctors are seeing a concerning rise in lung cancer cases among young women who have never smoked, pointing to environmental factors like air pollution, toxic fumes from cooking and cleaning, aerosols and radon gas as likely causes.
