Melvin Sanders and Tony Romero have a relationship that is decades in the making. What is remarkable about this friendship is the depth and breadth of history it has shared. Melvin (or Mel, as Tony calls him) first met in junior high. They would go on to play college basketball together, join as coaches on that same basketball court, coach each other through life's toughest moments, and eventually, they would add fatherhood as a bonding element that continues to enhance their ever-evolving relationship today.
