Hear about Melanie's unique journey she took to achieve success.
Over the past 20 years, she has worked in the corporate sector and with the federal government. She has served as a corporate attorney, management consultant, and business development executive. She has held roles with a Wall Street investment bank, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and an IT consulting firm. A graduate of Spelman College, Harvard Law School, she is very active in the Atlanta business community.

Melanie supports diversity, equity, and neuroinclusion in the workplace. She runs Veritas Management Group that consists of majority female employees and employees of color with a range of neurodiversities. She is close to the world of learning disabilities and a role model to those struggling in the academic and business environments. She was able to overcome her own struggles with learning disabilities and use them as strengths and opportunities, rather than weaknesses or threat.

Melanie co-authored Business Success Secrets, an honest, raw, and real look at some of the best-kept entrepreneurial secrets. Her chapter in the book, “From ADD to Harvard,” chronicles her courageous journey and the challenges she faced.

Starting as a young child who failed first grade due to undiagnosed ADD and dyslexia, she went on to graduate from Harvard Law. While many people speak of “obstacles” to their success, Melanie knew that her ADD and dyslexia could prevent her from achieving her dreams if she did not create a different path. Melanie is now the CEO of a multi-million-dollar company, Veritas Management Group.

Melanie has served on the board of directors of Spelman College, Georgia College & State University, Emory University Rollins School of Public Health, & Community Health Charities of Georgia. She also has served as the Chairperson of the Fulton County Land Bank Authority and is a Director of the National Black MBA Association Atlanta Chapter.
