Gavin "Capable" Preston, a notorious gangland figure, has been set free from jail after serving almost 11 years for the shooting death of notorious drug dealer Adam Khoury.
The 50-year-old was released earlier this month, having been found guilty of "defensive homicide" in connection with the killing of Adam Khoury and the wounding of another drug dealer in 2012.
In 2015, Preston beat a murder charge — and a possible life sentence — by pleading guilty to the lesser offence of defensive homicide over the killing of Adam Khoury.
Preston's nickname capable, is attributed to his reputation for being capable of committing any crime or act of violence without hesitation. His criminal history dates back to when he was 18 years old, and it is littered with a multitude of violent offenses, armed robberies, and weapons-related crimes. Throughout the years, he has been linked to various incidents of violence and has become known as a ruthless gang member. Preston's stomach bears a tattoo that reads "Capable," which serves as a constant reminder of his fearsome reputation in criminal circles.
