Meliponinas -- Abejas Sin Guijon Viven Conmigo! -- Stingless Honeybees Who Live With Me!

Today was alllllllmost a horrible day.
But there were all of these little miracles that saved me.
Besides the Meliponina: each one a little miracle...
There were all the silly funny things that my lady friends said that made me
Snort-laugh @Meveronicas
The insane cuteness of the love between my puppy Lila and the puppy
over at @disregardfiat. They will play all day long.
Another neighbor finishing up my 125 meter pipe ditch with his tractor
and son...which I was going otherwise to dig manually, by myself.
How could I be miserable today? It would be absurd.
Then I thought of the Meliponina and to go check on them and see
if I could photograph them well.
And I discovered that they are expanding.
From one little hive of maybe a hundred or so...
They've made new queens, multiple it seems
Because I think there are a good thousand today
And they are staying around even...
They're building a mud CASTLE
on the very same guayivi tree that they began on.
Seeing the huge cloud of them gave me so much pleasure.
The fotos didn't come out well, because they move so quickly
But I made a few videos that have some nicely focused moments.
And on top of that
As I began researching them for to write
for you all
A local facebook page about meliponiniculture appeared
When I opened up the facebook to join, I noticed a friend request from
a local man who I know little but enough about to accept
Turns out that he is in the facebook group...a meliponinicultivator!
Now I just need to get it together to make some boxes
to offer them for when they decide to expand the colonies again.
