Melody Dimick taught at Northern Adirondack Central School and at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. She draws from her experiences teaching to write Young Adult fiction and poetry. Her latest novel, Blame, was published by Taylor and Seale Publishing. Her short works appear in five FWA collections. Her Backpack Blues won a First-Place Royal Palm Literary Award (Unpublished General). Her poem, "Ysobel Gomez," captured Second Place. She leads the FWA Villa Writers Group.
