Hearing loss is where a body part is lost. You can be in denial for a while, but do address this as soon as you can as it's an organ that if it is not used then the various parts supporting its function will die. The Deaf Culture is an option and they are a very friendly group if you do ASL here in the USA. However, if you grew up hearing and still have enough hearing to function in a predominately hearing world then take advantage of that.
