MEN Don't Cry! - Boys Growing Up Without Fathers - Single Parent
"Single parent situations drive poverty and often lead to unsupervised kids. Many boys growing up without fathers often feel angry and abandoned. Thus, they seek comfort in all the wrong places." - Bill O'Reilly
This is the quote that inspired this message today. This destructive cycle continues to this day. When is enough, enough? When will they do their part to break the cycle? Boys/males/men have feelings too and have emotions that need to be expresses and released. When they are abandoned, they are left to figure life out on their own which is a job that no little boy should ever have to deal with. They gravitate to all the wrong things, influences, influencers, outlets, etc.
This often then spills over to their adult life where they start involving other people. Now begins the whole cycle of damaging their relationships - with females, with their kids, etc... a life of destruction.
My heart goes out to these males because they weren't given a proper start at a more stable and grounded life.
However, at some point, the choice is theirs for them to choose to have different behavior. Once an adult, a person has to start doing better... Start choosing better. Yes, it may be hard. There usually is an inner struggle because most don't know what love means or what it looks like.
