Proverbs 18:19ESV  A brother offended is more unyielding than a strong city, and quarreling is like the bars of a castle.

Offense is a silent killer. We are attributing our own behaviors to our circumstance while attributing someone else's actions to their character. It takes one to forgive and two to reconcile. Don't let pride decide. Acknowledge, investigate apologize and let it go.
