In this SPECIAL episode, we have an amazing discussion with Derek Tsakiris, Joe McLaughlin, and Caleb Poissant about LEVELING UP our influence as men of God-- coming to terms with accepting the role we've been given and being honest about our shortcomings so we can allow God to grow and refine us. The episode was recorded in a live setting at a recent Warrior Tailgate event at Riverbank Church in WRJ, VT. Please enjoy.
What an exciting episode! Today at the Men's Breakfast Table, I get the chance to catch up with my younger brother Jake, who is a wildlife expedition leader with some crazy stories from his adventures out west. Listen as Jake recounts a particular experience he had while helping guide a group hunting for bull elk in some very rugged terrain, traveling 17 miles on horseback from the nearest access point, and ultimately getting caught in a surprise blizzard... it's a tale of the kind of rugged grit that would test anyone's mettle and most of us only see in the movies. Not only a captivating story, but a great conversation about how to prepare for the times in life where we are stretched and tested by laying a firm foundation of values that will inform our decision-making when times get tough. It's an extra-special adventure story that you won't want to miss! Check it out.
With WARRIOR CONFERENCE 2025 right around the corner, it felt like a good time to REPRISE our first-ever episode of the Men's Breakfast Podcast, featuring a special conversation with Pastor Bob Partridge on the "Warrior Mindset".
As mentioned, this is the episode that kicked everything off, so while the discussion is worth the listen, the audio quality with our old microphones was not the best. Still, it's an episode that's worth a listen as we pursue the intent of iron sharpening iron. So please enjoy!

It's the second half of our Breakfast Table discussion with Nick Hannon on self-worth, self-image, and self-doubt... and it's a GOOD one! We reflect on our own views in juxtaposition to what the Bible tells us about who we are in Jesus, and we land on some pretty tangible challenges for us all to start walking toward a less self-focused image and toward what God intends for His kids. You don't want to miss the conclusion to this vulnerable and (hopefully) encouraging conversation.
This is a heavy discussion and gets pretty vulnerable, but there's so much in here to unpack! Join us at the Men's Breakfast table for a gritty and amazing conversation with Nick Hannon about self-doubt, self-worth, and about re-aligning our view of ourselves and others to be more about how God sees us! Listen in as we unpack ways to shift our mindset and avoid getting caught in the trap of seeing everything through the "lens of self" and deepening our commitment to the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness (not our own!) This is an episode you won't want to miss!
This is PART 1 of the conversation, with PART 2 being released in the following week. Enjoy!
Ever feel like your past makes you unredeemable? Then lean in as we take you LIVE to the Warrior Men's Breakfast at Riverbank Church and hear an outstanding message from Larry Reeves, an awesome man of faith and fellow brother in Jesus. If you're like me, this will make you want to jump to your feet and get in the game... so let's tune in as Larry drops some truth in love for all the Men's Breakfast listeners out there!
At the end of this discussion, there is a moment for response to the Gospel message of Jesus. If you were moved by the Holy Spirit and want to take that first step toward a relationship with Jesus, then text the words RESPOND NOW to 94000 and someone will reach out.
Have you ever wondered about the effectiveness of prayer or whether you were "good at praying"? We can carry a lot of baggage around what prayer ought to look like in our lives. In this episode, Pastor Patrick Teune helps us unpack some of the truths from Scripture that can help us find footing around this challenging topic and get started with a more authentic approach to having an ongoing conversation with our Heavenly Father. You definitely don't want to miss this breakfast table conversation!
In the episode, we reference a recent message on prayer given by Pastor Patrick at Riverbank Church. You can find the full message here: https://youtu.be/ok-cma5cVOA?si=O78wBIFsyrak4wXn
We take a brief pause to just have an off-the-cuff, one-sided discussion about the Half Time Show we saw during the Big Game last week. I'm genuinely curious to hear your thoughts about it.
Listen! This is not a conversation about whether you like the music or the style or the performer... if you don't then it just wasn't meant for you. This is not meant to be divisive in any way; I'm really just curious about the perspective that we, as fathers and followers of Jesus, ought to take when it comes to this type of entertainment-- and to "be in the world, but not of it." Enjoy and leave your comments below!
Buckle up! This is a tough one. I was very fortunate to be able to sit down once again with Micah and discuss how we're walking forward in relationships when TRUST has been destroyed. Betrayal in a relationship can be a great destroyer of connection, intimacy, and trust-- and sometimes it's from a major infraction, but often it's from a thousand tiny betrayals over time. We would all do well to listen to what Scripture has to say about trust, hope, and redemption. I really hope you enjoy this episode and that you are encouraged!
Welcome to Men's Breakfast! In this episode we discuss a clunky, "churchy" word that actually has some major implications for how we spend our time, energy, and resources. Pastor Tom Schutzius from Riverbank Church helps us better understand that this isn't just a money problem; it affects the time we spend and the choices we make each and every day. And in the end, are we accepting what has been given to us with a commitment to grow it and make it flourish? This is definitely an episode you don't want to miss!
