Jenny Christakos is a Practicing Artist, Provisional Art Therapist and Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor with experience working in community-based mental health settings throughout the DC area. They have developed programming and therapeutic interventions designed to deliver accessible trauma-informed care to community members in the District of Columbia. They are currently serving as a Domestic Violence Counselor, providing free grant funded services to victims/survivors of Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence in DC. Through their passion for creativity and community-based programming, they have personally witnessed the potential for healing through artistic engagement. Whether through client-led artistic interventions, community-based art projects, or clinical application of art therapy and counseling services, Jenny holds the healing nature of creativity at the center of their professional practice and personal philosophy.
