It's All Mental

Mental Health as a Student with October

Listen Later

Today I am welcoming a very special guest. I connected with a young woman named, October who shares with us about a time when she found herself facing a deep depression during her sophomore year of college. At first, she dismissed her symptoms, thinking that she was just tired, and needed to push through it.

But as October got more into the depths of her degree in Sociology, began to see and hear of the inequalities and heavy issues in society and business that are still prevalent today, she realized that she needed something else to get her through the depression that she was feeling. She sought help through a therapist and learned how important both mental health practices and spirituality was in her wellness journey.

This is a powerful episode about the mental health concerns of college students and how we can support their journey. If you have any thoughts or questions please send us a message at [email protected]
